"Lively gastro pub with good ales and the service is excellent! The menu consists of a range of pub classics & salads with a few smart British dishes thrown in for good measure. Cote de boeuf & chips was excellent & we also had a great burger."

"…a discreet distance from Stamford Bridge, this L-shaped room is lovely and light with tall ceilings and big, comfy sofas. It gets noisy by the bar so go for an alcove if you can. The cuisine is Gastro: try the exceptionally good burgers!"

"This distinctive corner pub site has a lot going for it, not least its large and airy bar and dining area… the food presentation here is matched by the quality of the cooking"

"Chelsea has plenty of gastro pubs in better locations, but few match the quality of food service here.
The U-shaped space allows nosy diners to watch the kitchen at work at one end, while the other offers a formal dining room.
The food is British with a twist - fishcakes, sirloin and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon sit alongside more adventurous dishes such as pan-fried duck breast with parsnip puree and prune gravy. Sunday lunches are much appreciated by local families. ...a blue print for what a gastro pub should be."

"Dropped by for a swift one on Friday evening... had a cracking pint of Adnams... food looked excellent coming out of the kitchen and the bar staff were very friendly... handy for the 606 club next door."

"My son and 15 month-old daughter visited for lunch this Sunday and I have to say our experience was excellent. We arrived bang on midday to staff who were friendly and smiling and even had a highchair! My son's fishcake starter was hot and full of fish and my daughter enjoyed it too. The roast beef main was excellent especially the vegetables which were exactly right and I have to go some to get my daughter to eat broccoli but she did, along with the Yorkshire pud, and carrots, and roasties - you get the picture. Also - homemade horseradish sauce - yum. Desserts were also delicious and well suited to the pretty cold drizzle. My rhubarb crumble was served with a lovely hot jug of creme englaise. Finally, the carbernet sauvignon we had with the mains was only 5.25 and smooth as anything. Although there is no view to compare with Aquasia at the Wyndham Hotel Chelsea Harbour, I know where I will be eating next time.
